Culture of UK - True Liberal Democracy 007



UK is an affluent in its culture, traditions and norms. UK being a very vintage country is rich in its history. It carries a lot of aspect to be looked upon. UK is a developed island country, a major power and a true liberal democracy. It is the composition of 4 countries including England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Each of these four countries has their own values, customs and symbolism.
As UK's culture is quite goofy, so it has a great taste of literature, arts, history, food, sports, cinema, media, architecture and education. These are some of the important aspects of British culture. The UK is also pretty advance in science and technology and it has the most famous scientist in the world which amends the world through their inventions and findings. UK is thought as a "cultural super power" and London as among the most beautiful cities and as world cultural capital.
Let as we take a look on different cultural norms of UK which surely depicts its culture and history. First comes its language , the official language of UK is English and 95% of the people use to speak English while Welsh, Scottish, Gaelic, Cornish and Irish are also the language which are spoken up in 4 countries of UK.
There is a lot about Arts and Literature in UK. The History is full of the glory of Arts. From very past till today the English literature is non match able in its poetry, novel writing, poems, dramas and theater. English land is luckiest to have the most remarkable people. How could one don't know about William Shakespeare, who was regarded as national poet of England. Robert Burns is often called as national poet of Scotland. Now comes its theater since the formation of UK in 1707, it had a vibrant culture of Theater, inherited from England and Scotland. UK's people are very fond of Theater and till now it highly reflects UK's history of culture.
If one does not know Charlie Chaplin, he is surely do not know about comedy. This great man was born on land of UK, so cinema has also a wide range of greatest actors, which were and which are the survival keys of their cinema. Alfred Hitchcock, Charlie Chaplin, David Lean, John Gielgud, Rich Burton are some of those great actors.
Broadcasting has been the forefront for the development of UK. BBC (known as British Broadcasting Corporation) is one of the most authentic and well known channel in the world.
As UK is rich in its history, so architecture includes many features early from Stonehenge to the Giant Ring. UK is always eminent for its castles; Windsor Castle, Stirling Castle, Bodiam Castle, Warwick Castle, and Caenarfor Castle are some of the beautiful castles which are worth mentioning.
UK is dainty advance in science and technology from the very vintage ages till now. Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Michael Faraday, Stephen Hawking are few of the scientist who totally revamp the world with their inventions.
At the early ages, UK was created as an Anglican country so the religion was Christianity and it was a tiny minority in Scotland. Now the religion of UK is Christianity followed by Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism.
If we don't talk about the cuisine of a country, then its culture is not completed yet. British are pretty taste lovers and bit choosy in what they eat. Fried egg, sausages, puddings, bacon, mushroom, tomatoes, toasts and baked beans are preferred as breakfast. Traditional British cream tea is the most popular beverage in UK. Also cheese is the most used dairy product and British will love to have cheese and butter in their meals.
The most amateur sport in UK is football. England is famous for cricket. Golf is the modern game of Scotland. How people of a country dresses up shows its culture. 4 of the countries of UK have different costumes. Scotland has the kilt and Tam o'chanter and tartan clothing depicting the Gaelic culture. A traditional welsh costume with welsh hat worn by women. There is not any specified dress of England where smock frock is considered as national dress of England.
